What is Bokwa?

Bokwa is a new and different way to exercise made up of different dance and martial arts movements to give a high energy, fun workout.

The moves are based on the shapes of letters and numbers stepped on the floor – combined with an energising cardio routine.  You don’t have to be good at dancing either!

This class is accompanied by high tempo, up beat music.

What will it do for me?

Bokwa will give a great fat burning workout, toning, improve coordination in a great fun atmosphere.

Is it right for me?

Bokwa is great for everyone aged 16 and over and all fitness levels as the tempo of the workout can be varied to suit your fitness level and your goals.

However, if you have an ongoing medical condition or injury you should consult with your GP or medical practitioner before beginning a new exercise programme.

What should I wear?

You should wear comfortable, flexible clothes that let you move easily.  Avoid very baggy clothes and bear in mind you may get warm.  Choose trainers that give you stability and support to exercise.

What else should I bring?

You don’t need to bring any equipment – just a water bottle to stay hydrated and a towel if you wish.

Bokwa classes are available at our centre in Rhyl.
