What is Aqua Aerobics?

Aqua Aerobics is a fun, energising low impact cardio, shallow water workout that uses the resistance of the water to enhance your workout.  Unlike land based aerobics classes, working out in water reduces the impact on joints and the support offered by the water may help you complete exercises and movements that you would not be able to do on land.

What will it do for me?

Improve overall fitness, help burn fat, improve body tone and condition.

Is it right for me?

Water Aerobics is a low impact high energy exercise that is suitable for everyone aged 16 and over and all fitness levels.  Your instructor will help you work at a level that is suitable for your ability and targets.  Although this is a shallow water class you should be comfortable and confident in the pool.

However, if you have an ongoing medical condition or injury you should consult with your GP or medical practitioner before beginning a new exercise programme.

What should I wear?

Choose comfortable supportive swimwear that allows you to move freely.

What else should I bring?

You don’t need to bring any equipment – just a water bottle to stay hydrated and you may choose to wear swimming goggles and/or swimming hat.

Where does this class take place?

Aqua Aerobics classes are available at our centres in Denbigh and Corwen.

When does this class take place?

You can check when all our classes are on our timetable. It is advisable to book for all classes.
