Denbighshire Community Chest Grant
Fancy £1,500 towards your community sport project?
Community Chest now offers grants of up to £1,500 in any 12 month period for activities that:
- encourage more people to become more active, more often
- raises the standards of existing activities
Who can apply?
The scheme is open to any group that wishes to organise activities aimed at getting more people, more active, more often. This could mean new activities or raising the standard of existing activities.
The group must hold a bank account in the organisation’s name.
Who cannot apply?
The scheme is not open to individual members of the public, Primary schools or associated bodies arranging activities for children, or Secondary schools who are part of the 5x60 scheme.

Applications will be considered by your local committee throughout the year. The local committee meets 6 times a year. Normally application forms should be submitted at least 3 months before the planned start of the project.

North Wales Gold Card
The North Wales Gold Card scheme provides assistance to talented athletes in North Wales who are current representatives of Wales. The scheme offers successful applicants access to local authority leisure facilities for training purposes with Denbighshire, Anglesey, Conwy, Flintshire, Wrexham and Gwynedd.
Eligible applicants will be those who reside in the 6 local authorities above and must be a current member of a national governing body national team or squad. Applicants whose sports do not have international fixtures and/or compete as an individual, must have finished in the first three positions of a National Championship organised by the national governing body of sport, within the last 12 months.
A successful applicant will receive a year’s membership card and will be entitled to access a specified range of facilities and equipment depending on their training programme.

Rhyl Talented Athlete Grant
Are you a talented athlete, or have you been offered the opportunity to compete or train with a County squad? If you live in Rhyl then you may be able to apply for the Rhyl Talented Athlete Grant.
Applications will be considered for individual athletes who have reached, or have the potential to reach County, Regional or National level within their particular sport.
