Disability Sport

Welcome to Disability Sport in Denbighshire!

The Disability Sport Wales National Community Development Programme is a joint initiative between the Sports Council for Wales, the Federation of Disability Sport Wales and the 22 local authorities across Wales. The scheme is aimed at developing quality community based sporting and recreational opportunities for disabled people throughout Wales.

In Denbighshire we have several opportunities that are available and you also have a chance to have your say in what you would like to see happening in your County.  A Disability Sport Forum is held every six to eight weeks in various locations around the county with a chance to try new activities and sports. This is an informal forum for anyone with a disability who wants to take part in sport and physical activity, any coaches or volunteers, parent carers and service providers who wish to be involved in disability sport.

There are also opportunities to attend Disability Inclusion Training Courses if you wish to become involved in coaching and volunteering.

If you are interested in becoming involved with any activities either as a volunteer, a coach or as a member then please don't hesitate to contact me!

Look forward to hearing from you soon!
